MabuzaVoting is underway for the ANC’s top six.

The long process got underway at around midnight and continued throughout the early parts of the morning at the party’s 54th elective conference in Johannesburg.

Delegates from several provinces – that’s KZN, the Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Gauteng – are yet to cast their ballots. Former AU commission chair, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa are vying for the top job.

The race for deputy president is between Lindiwe Sisulu and David Mabuza.

Voting had been scheduled to kick-off in the afternoon yesterday with an announcement of the new top six leadership coming through early this morning.

But the conference started late on Saturday afternoon. This means that results will probably start trickling in later in the morning.
